•This segment introduces Google My Maps and shows how to create a placemark.
•If you don’t yet have a Google account, you’ll want to start one to best learn from this tutorial. Accounts are free and provide access to many useful resources for creating Virtual Fieldwork.
•Before you begin, open another browser window to http://maps.google.com.
•You may find it easier to have two windows rather than two tabs. That allows you to look at both windows at once (though the videos are large format to keep them readable).
•Click below to play the video.
•In segment 1.02, we will add photos and text to the placemark.
