2010 programming:


  1. For teachers in the South Central US: June 9 - 11, 2010 at and around Canyon Lake Gorge, Texas.  We will be staying and doing classroom work in San Antonio, TX.   

  2. NoteThe fieldwork for this workshop includes physically challenging hiking in the Texas summer heat.  Participants should be prepared for a difficult three hour hike carrying their own water, and without access to restrooms.  Appropriate footwear (hiking boots or sturdy sneakers) is required.  For more information, see the Canyon Lake Gorge website tour page: http://www.canyongorge.org/Tours.aspx.


  3. For teachers in the Western US: July 14 - 16, 2010 at and around Crater Lake, OR

  4. NoteThe fieldwork for this workshop includes physically challenging hiking in the very steep terrain of the crater.  Participants should be prepared for a difficult hike carrying their own water, and without access to restrooms.  Appropriate footwear (hiking boots or sturdy sneakers) is required. 


  5. For teachers in the Midwestern US: July 28 - 30, 2010 at and around Bolles Harbor, in Monroe, MI
