Workshop Where & When:

June 9 - 11, 2010 at the La Quinta Inn Downtown San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas


What to Bring:

  1. BulletDigital camera

  2. BulletLaptop computer (if you’re unable to bring your own, please let us know).

  3. BulletComfortable shoes & clothes

  4. BulletWater bottle

  5. BulletSunscreen and insect repellent

  6. BulletA rock that’s local to your school (from exposed bedrock, if convenient).

  7. Bullet    Notebook

  8. Bullet    Your calendar/planner.


Lodging:

We have blocked rooms at the La Quinta Inn Downtown San Antonio More information regarding this has been sent via email. 


Transportation:

San Antonio International Airport is the nearest to the hotel.  It is approximately 15 minutes away.  Visit http://www.sanantonio.gov/Aviation/groundtransportation.asp for ground transportation options. 


Stipend & Cost Information:

We will provide $800.00 to help cover your expenses for participation in the program. This amount was determined based on the following consideration:


  1. Stipend: $400.

  2. Travel Cost: $100.

  3. Food: $80.

  4. Hotel (Two Nights): $220.


$600 will be disbursed at the workshop.  The remaining $200 will be disbursed at the conclusion of the program, when Virtual fieldwork Experiences are complete.
